IC³ INTERNET AND COMPUTING CORE CERTIFICATION

Yesterday, it was reading, writing and arithmetic.  Today, we've added computing and Internet skills to the list of fundamentals. Educators and employers alike are calling for greater computing literacy among students and potential employees.  And while there are many ways to gain these skills, there has been no universal, standardized method for measuring basic computing competency.  That is, until now.  IC³ is a standards-based certification program for basic computing and Internet literacy.  It provides specific guidelines for the knowledge and skills required to be a productive user of computer hardware, software, networks and the Internet.  By establishing this vendor-independent standard, IC³ provides a reliable, universal measure of basic computing aptitude.
